Courses and Prices
Small Group Classes
Structured, engaging classes offered at four levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced. Classes focus on developing all four major language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
New learners focus on practical topics needed to live in China, such as self-introductions, family, hobbies, food, travel and transport, directions, shopping. More advanced learners cover topics such as jobs and working, relationships, festivals, Chinese history and culture, news, politics and current affairs.
Dates and times: Full academic year consists of 2 semesters. Semester 1: March 1 – July 5; Semester 2: September 1 – January 15 18 weeks per semester, with a total of 270 hours study.
Price: 9000 RMB / semester
Private Tuition
Our range of private classes are designed to accelerate your Chinese learning even faster than our small group classes and are typically more specialised in the topics they cover.
These courses aim to develop your ability across different language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing. Private classes are available for a wide range of ability levels – beginner, elementary, intermediate, and advanced.
Private classes are delivered as 1 to 1 tuition, or as 1 to 2 tuition (one teacher and two students). A 10% discount is available for 1 to 2 tuition.
Spoken Chinese
Our private spoken Chinese classes cover all the practical content that your would learn in the small group classes, but gives you more chance to practise your speaking and conversation skills. If you prefer, we can customise the topics to suit your needs and interests - we are open and flexible in the approach we take.
Dates and times: 10 hours / week. Available to start all year round.
Price: 120 RMB / hour (10% discount for 1:2 tuition)
HSK Preparation
Intensive classes specifically designed to help you prepare for and pass the HSK exams. Covers all levels of the HSK system and puts the HSK syllabus vocabulary and grammar into practical contexts. Uses a wide range of teaching methods and memorisation strategies to help you master the HSK syllabus.
Dates and times: 15 hours / week. Available to start all year round.

Chinese History and Culture Classes
Learn fascinating insights into Chinese history and culture to deepen your understanding of China and Chinese people.

Price: 120 RMB / hour (10% discount for 1:2 tuition)
Business Classes
Designed to help you succeed in working in China or conducting business with Chinese people.Classes are available to students with an upper intermediate or advanced level of Chinese. You will cover a wide range of business and professional topics. For example, jobs and employment, business emails, and business relationships and etiquette.
Dates and times: 10 hours / week. Available to start all year round.
Price: 130 RMB / hour (10% discount for 1:2 tuition)
Summer and Winter Short Courses
Our fantastic summer and winter short courses will immerse you in Chinese language, life, culture and history. During your course, you will spend part of your time learning the basics of Chinese language and the other time you will participate in our exciting organised events and trips in Xi’an.
For example, you will visit enjoy a dinner with a local Chinese family, experience village life in the countryside, take part in a tea ceremony, learn to play mah-jong, and visit historical and cultural sites including Terracotta Warriors, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi’an City Wall, the Muslim Quarter, Bell Tower, and Shaanxi History Museum.
One-week course: 7 days, 3 hours / day. Tuition price: 2100 RMB
Two-week course: 14 days, 3 hours / day. Tuition price: 3990 RMB
Three-week course: 21 days, 3 hours / day. Tuition price: 5860 RMB
NB Bring a friend and you will each receive a 10% discount on the tuition price. A 20% discount is available for groups of four people who join a short course together.
Accomodation prices: Single room: 150 RMB to 300 RMB night (approx). Shared rooms: 80 RMB to 120 RMB per night (approx).
